What We Optimize For

  • Planning usefulness: outputs should help shortlist practical next steps.
  • Transparent assumptions: key approximations are clearly stated.
  • Safety margins: rank bands are used instead of false precision.
  • No official mimic claims: final authority remains NTA/JoSAA/IIT releases.

Model Notes by Tool

JEE Main Score Calculator

Formula: Total = (4 × Correct MCQ) − (1 × Incorrect MCQ) + (4 × Correct Numerical).

Input validation blocks impossible attempt combinations before calculating score and accuracy.

JEE Main Percentile Estimator

Uses a trend-based interpolation model built around marks-percentile anchor points and difficulty adjustment using topper-mark proxy. It is an estimator, not NTA's internal normalization engine.

JEE Main Rank Predictor

Converts percentile into estimated CRL using total-candidate assumptions, then applies percentile-dependent uncertainty band.

JEE Main College Predictor

Applies rank, category, and quota logic on a curated institute-branch list to produce High / Medium / Tough strategy buckets.

JEE Advanced Rank Predictor

Maps aggregate score share (based on exam max marks) to a rank band, then adjusts category guidance conservatively.

Data Sources and Review Process

  • Official portals: NTA, JoSAA, JEE Advanced, CSAB.
  • Historical trend analysis from previous public admission cycles.
  • Manual QA before publishing formula or copy changes.

Known Limitations

  • Year-to-year shifts in candidate distribution can move rank outcomes.
  • Seat matrix and policy updates can change cutoff behavior.
  • Tie-breakers and official normalization are controlled by exam authorities.
